Family Background and brief description of the child:
Nancy and her only sister Selvi were deserted by their parents 6 years ago as they got separated. Nancy and Selvi were cared for by their old grandfather who also passed away in few years. Since the old man found it difficult to take care of these two girls, he sold the older one to a land lord to work as a maid servant. This girl was just 8 years old and she was living like a slave under that "strong man" who was making use of her from cleaning the cow shed to looking after his little baby. Some women reformers found this out and delivered Selvi to our orphanage. We put her in a primary school and she was found to be very intelligent girl. Selvi is now studying in 9th grade, and is one of the toppers in her class. In few weeks the grandfather brought in Nancy to the home. Before long the grandfather, who was the only hope for these little girls, passed away. Now Selvi and Nancy are totally in our hands.
Because of her mental harassment in the young age, in the beginning, both Nancy and Selvi were quite arrogant and violent in nature. Coming to the Good shepherd home was a hallmark in their lives. Both of them were totally changed. Now they love the lord, read the Bible, pray and enjoy the Lord. Selvi took water baptism by immersion and Nancy is also getting ready to testify the Lord in water baptism.
The grandfather who was the only positive link for these girls also died two years ago. No one knows where their biological father and mother are. Since they have found their father and mother in Christ, it bothers them little to seek for their physical father and mother.
Nancy's ambition is to be a Nurse and Selvy wants to be a Medical Doctor. Kindly pray and support this girl, Nancy.
